Department of Agronomy and Plant Breeding was established in 1983 and at that time all courses were offered for undergraduate students in the field of agronomical affairs. The aim was to train experts who can work at different crop production fields and farms and also be able to help research groups in doing their projects. They were also expected to develop agronomical schedules in different governmental and non-governmental organizations (WGO). Graduates are also expected to work as lecturer in educational organizations to teach farmers new crop management practices. They can also do their jobs as the chancellor or manager of different agricultural organizations. Currently, there are 232 undergraduate students studying in the field of agronomy and plant breeding.
